2. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern purchases made through the Laminar Flow Design online store.

By placing an order, customers acknowledge that they have read and accepted these terms.

These terms apply to both individual consumers and professional customers. Mandatory consumer protection laws take precedence wherever applicable.

3. Products and Descriptions

Laminar Flow Design specialises in resin conversion sets, detail and upgrade sets, and accessories for scale modelling.

We make every reasonable effort to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, compatibility information and specifications.

Products are intended for scale modelling and hobby use. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, kits may require assembly, preparation, painting and modelling experience.

Photographs may show assembled or painted examples for illustration purposes. The exact contents of each product are described on its product page.

Minor variations inherent to resin production may occur, provided they do not affect the product's conformity or intended use.

4. Product Availability and Pre-orders

Products marked as In Stock are normally available for dispatch.

Occasionally, Laminar Flow Design may accept pre-orders for an upcoming production batch already in progress. Such products will be clearly identified as pre-orders, with an estimated dispatch timeframe indicated on the product page.

Pre-orders are not individually customised products and remain subject to applicable consumer rights.

If a product becomes unavailable or a significant delay occurs, we will inform the customer and propose an appropriate solution, including cancellation and reimbursement where required by law.

5. Prices and Taxes

Product prices are displayed in euros (EUR).

Applicable VAT is calculated and displayed according to the customer's location and the relevant tax rules.

Shipping charges are shown before the customer confirms the order.

For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties, customs clearance fees and local taxes may be payable upon arrival, unless explicitly indicated otherwise during checkout.

We reserve the right to change product prices at any time. The price confirmed when the order is placed remains applicable to that order, subject to correction of manifest errors in accordance with applicable law.

6. Ordering Process

Customers select products, add them to their shopping cart and proceed through checkout.

Before confirming an order, customers can review the products, quantities, delivery address, shipping charges and total payable amount.

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of the order. The sale is confirmed when Laminar Flow Design accepts the order, normally through payment confirmation or a subsequent order confirmation.

We may contact customers to clarify incomplete or incorrect information.

Any refusal or cancellation of an order will be handled in accordance with applicable law, with reimbursement of payments received where appropriate.

7. Payment

Online payments are securely processed through Stripe using the payment methods made available at checkout.

Payment is required when placing an order, including a pre-order, unless another arrangement is explicitly offered.

Laminar Flow Design does not store customers' full payment card details on its own servers.

If payment is declined or cannot be verified, the order may remain unconfirmed until payment is successfully completed.

8. Shipping and Delivery

Orders are dispatched from Belgium.

Shipping options, preparation times, estimated delivery periods, shipping charges and customs information are described in our separate Shipping and Returns page, which forms part of the information provided to customers before purchase.

For in-stock products, we generally prepare and dispatch orders within 1–3 working days following payment confirmation. On rare occasions, particularly during busy periods or holidays, dispatch may take up to 5 working days.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed. Customers retain all mandatory rights concerning delayed or failed delivery.

9. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

Consumers who qualify for statutory distance-selling protection generally have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 calendar days after receiving the goods, without providing a reason.

To exercise this right, customers must inform Laminar Flow Design of their decision within the applicable period.

The detailed procedure, return instructions, refund conditions and model withdrawal form are provided on our Shipping and Returns page.

Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, the customer bears the direct cost of returning goods following a change of mind.

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer withdrawal rights.

10. Legal Guarantee and Product Conformity

Consumers benefit from the statutory legal guarantee applicable under Belgian and other mandatory consumer protection laws.

For new consumer goods sold by a professional seller, Belgian law generally provides a two-year legal guarantee covering a lack of conformity existing at delivery and becoming apparent within the applicable legal period.

If a product is defective, incomplete or does not correspond to its description, customers should contact us at mathieu@laminarflowdesign.com with their order reference and a description of the issue.

Where legally required, customers are entitled to appropriate remedies, which may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or termination of the sale with reimbursement.

Normal wear, accidental damage, incorrect handling or damage caused by improper assembly or modification do not in themselves constitute a manufacturing defect.

This section does not restrict any statutory rights.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Laminar Flow Design name, original product designs, photographs, illustrations, descriptions and website content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Their unauthorised commercial reproduction, distribution or use is prohibited.

References to aircraft manufacturers, model kit brands or third-party products are provided for identification and compatibility purposes only. Such references do not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation.

12. Responsible Use

Resin modelling products may contain small, delicate components and are not intended as toys for young children.

Customers should use suitable tools, protective equipment and safe working practices when cutting, sanding, assembling and painting modelling components.

Customers are responsible for following relevant safety instructions, including those applicable to adhesives, paints and other modelling materials.

13. Liability

Laminar Flow Design is responsible for fulfilling its contractual obligations in accordance with applicable law.

We are not responsible for damage resulting solely from improper use, unsuitable assembly techniques or modifications unrelated to an existing product defect.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including mandatory consumer rights.

14. Personal Data Protection

Personal information collected during ordering, payment processing and customer service is handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Further details are available in our Privacy Policy.

15. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve customer concerns fairly and efficiently.

Customers are encouraged to contact us first at mathieu@laminarflowdesign.com, including their order number and a description of the problem.

Where applicable, consumers may seek assistance from competent consumer mediation services or other recognised dispute resolution bodies.

16. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by Belgian law.

For consumers residing outside Belgium, this choice of law does not deprive them of mandatory protections granted by the laws applicable to their country of habitual residence.

Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts in accordance with applicable jurisdiction and consumer protection rules.

17. Changes to These Terms

Laminar Flow Design may update these terms to reflect legal, operational or commercial changes.

The terms applicable to an order are those made available to the customer when the order is placed, subject to mandatory legal provisions.
